Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use Kobee, buy products from us, or rely on our content, apps, calculators or tools.

Last updated: 8 July 2026

Who we are

Kobee is operated by Kobee Electronics, ABN 14 707 910 863. In these terms, "Kobee", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Kobee Electronics. The website at kobee.com.au, our shop, tutorials, calculators, apps, account features and related services are together referred to as the site.

By accessing the site, creating an account, placing an order, using a tutorial, app, calculator, configurator, estimator, selector, downloadable resource, code sample or other tool, you agree to these terms and to any policy linked from these terms.

Educational content, apps, calculators and tools

Our tutorials, calculators, apps, configurators, estimators, selector tools, guides, code samples, diagrams, examples, product suggestions, generated outputs, downloads and other resources are general educational information only. They are not professional engineering, electrical, legal, safety, compliance, certification, medical, financial or other professional advice.

You must make your own assessment before relying on any content or output. This includes checking suitability for your project, current laws and standards, manufacturer documentation, product ratings, environmental conditions, wiring, polarity, firmware, enclosure design, battery safety, heat, load, fusing, isolation, certification, and the skill level of everyone involved.

Inputs, defaults, assumptions and calculations may be incomplete, simplified, outdated, entered incorrectly, rounded, or unsuitable for your application. You are responsible for validating all results independently before buying parts, building a circuit, deploying software, connecting hardware or using any output in a real-world system.

Electronics, batteries, power supplies, tools, soldering, 3D printing, wireless equipment, mains voltage, vehicles, robotics, automation, and connected devices can cause property damage, injury or death if used incorrectly. Use appropriate supervision, personal protective equipment, test equipment, isolation, ventilation, fire precautions and safe work practices.

  • Do not work on mains voltage or other hazardous systems unless you are legally permitted and competent to do so.
  • Stop if you are unsure, if a device behaves unexpectedly, or if a component becomes hot, smells, smokes, swells or leaks.
  • Do not assume photos, diagrams or videos show every guard, tool, warning label, PPE item or safety step.
  • Projects, apps, calculators, code, library examples and outputs may become outdated as products, firmware, standards, software libraries, APIs and laws change.
  • Children and students must be supervised by a responsible adult or qualified educator.

Products, orders and availability

Product descriptions, images, prices, stock status, specifications, weights and delivery estimates may change. We try to keep information accurate, but occasional errors or omissions can occur.

When you place an order, you represent that the products will be used lawfully and safely. You are responsible for confirming that products are suitable for your intended use, including any regulatory, certification, import, export, radio, electrical, battery, aviation, medical, automotive or workplace requirements that apply to you.

We may refuse, cancel or limit orders where required by law, where details appear incorrect or fraudulent, where a product is unavailable, or where the order appears unsafe or inappropriate for the stated use.

3D printing service

If you buy a 3D printed item from our catalogue or submit a custom 3D printing request, our 3D Printing Service Terms also apply. You are responsible for checking that any submitted file, model, drawing, dimensions, material choice, tolerance, intended use and instruction is accurate, lawful and suitable for your application.

Custom 3D printing is a manufacturing service based on the information provided to us. Unless we agree in writing, it is not an engineering, design, certification, safety assessment or compliance approval service.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a replacement, repair, refund, or compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage where required by law.

Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and for activity under your account. Information you provide must be accurate and not misleading.

You must not use the site to break the law, infringe another person's rights, interfere with the site, scrape or reverse engineer parts of the site except as permitted by law, upload harmful code, attempt unauthorised access, or submit abusive, misleading, unsafe, infringing or unlawful content.

Intellectual property and user content

Unless stated otherwise, content on the site is owned by Kobee or our licensors. You may use our content for personal learning and lawful project evaluation, but you must not commercially reproduce, resell, republish or misrepresent it without permission.

If you submit reviews, comments, photos, project notes, support messages or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, edit and display that content for operating, improving, supporting and promoting Kobee, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Third-party services and links

The site may link to third-party sites, documentation, libraries, videos, payment services, shipping providers, analytics services, community posts and product resources. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, security, availability, policies or performance.

Warranties, disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to non-excludable consumer guarantees, the site, content, tutorials, apps, calculators, configurators, estimators, selector tools, generated outputs, examples, support information and third-party materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or economic loss, loss of profits, loss of data, project failure, certification failure, production loss, injury, property damage, or loss arising from unsafe use, incorrect assembly, modification, misuse, unsuitable design, environmental conditions, incorrect inputs, calculation errors, software errors, or reliance on general educational content or tool outputs.

Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited, at our choice, to resupplying the goods or services, repairing or replacing the goods, paying the cost of repair or replacement, or refunding the amount paid for the affected goods or services.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, damage, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from your breach of these terms, misuse of products, unsafe conduct, unlawful conduct, infringement of third-party rights, or content you submit, except to the extent caused by our unlawful conduct or where the law does not allow the indemnity.

International users

We are based in Australia. If you access the site or order products from outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with local laws, import rules, customs requirements, taxes, product standards, radio rules and safety requirements in your location.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in Victoria may hear disputes relating to these terms, subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

We may update these terms by publishing a revised version on this page. The updated terms apply from the date shown unless a later date is stated.
